ABOUT

The Willowdale Arts Collective was formed in 2024, in partnership with the Willowdale Central Ratepayers Association (WCRA). It is comprised of business owners, non-profit organization leads, volunteers and professional artists that live and work in Willowdale and the greater Toronto area.

OUR FOCUS

Willowdale ARTS Collective focuses on TWO streams;

THE FIRST STREAM focuses on supporting professional and semi-professional Artists. We work with artists of all disciplines, supporting them in a variety of ways (eg. access to low, or no cost space to perform, media promotion, back-line support, and financial compensation for both the artists and support workers involved, etc).

THE SECOND STREAM focuses on community members, local businesses and organizations that wish to support Toronto’s vibrant arts & cultural scene, with the ultimate aim of enriching the lives of local residents through artistic events. This will take the form of paid ‘and’ volunteer opportunities.

SUPPORTING THE ARTS

Public events cannot happen without funding, that is why we have set a goal to secure additional funding for 2026. Securing these funds allows the Willowdale ARTS Collective to present high quality programs, and maximize results for everyone. Arts & culture matter. They build a shared sense of community, contribute to better mental health, and support the local economy. By leveraging existing infrastructures, and engaging in collaborative agreements, the Willowdale ARTS Collective is able to minimize production costs, bring vibrancy to the city, while supporting the arts and local economy.
