Get ready to tap your toes and travel back in time. This summer, Mel Lastman Square transforms into an open-air ballroom for Sunday Serenades, the beloved, and widely popular live music series celebrating the golden eras of jazz, swing, and big band music.

Whether you are a seasoned dancer looking to cut a rug or a music lover wanting to spend a relaxing evening outdoors, Sunday Serenades offers the perfect soundtrack to your weekend.

We are bringing the province’s finest musical talent right to the heart of North York. The program proudly features some of the best Big Bands from across Ontario, delivering powerhouse performances that capture the authentic energy of a bygone era.

You will hear timeless jazz, swing, and big band standards from the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s—originally made famous by legends like Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Frank Sinatra. Expect soaring brass sections, driving rhythms, and unforgettable melodies that will have the whole square moving.

This FREE, accessible, all-ages community event is proudly presented in partnership by TO Live, the Willowdale Arts Collective and the Times Group.
